This is great work, very intricate. On average how long does it take to complete one drawing? Looking at the Shang ruff and cu comparison, there must of been quite a bit of work to do?

Keep up the great posts!

Hi Angie,
It should take an hour to do one clean-up drawing, and about roughly five to seven drawings a day.
Now this is if your going about it using pencil and paper and a light table. I've found it a little quicker cleaning up digitally in Flash. You can get the same results using Flash without wasting a tree!:)

That's true about the trees, but nevertheless there's still something more personal and sincere using a pencil at least I think so:) but I've noticed the popularity of flash growing. Were your drawings done using a normal lead pencil or a mechanical?

Ya, I'd have to agree with you. I really enjoy drawing with a pencil.I'm hoping to do my next short with pencil and paper. The drawings are all done using a good ol' fashioned graphite pencil. Some will use a mechanical pencil including myself if it's a REALLY small drawing. We usually start out with an under-drawing using a red Cole Erase pencil. A blue Cole Erase pencil for any "line fills" like shadows, or color gradations, you'll notice them on most of the clean ups posted on this blog including Kieni.
